In order to comply with the National Environmental Legislation (National Environmental Management Act, No. 107 of 1998), the Department of Water Affairs promulgated a Regulatory Performance Measurement System in terms of the Water Services Act (Act 108 of 1996), or commonly known as the Blue Drop and Green Drop Certification which applies to the water treatment and distribution systems, sewage treatment and reticulation systems. Since the inception of the Blue & Green Drop Measuring System we aimed to comply to all requirements implemented. We have received numerous awards for our treatment plants, including platinum status. It must be noted that the last Blue & Green drop evaluations took place in 2014.
We have to date not received any indication on when this Regulatory Performance Measurement System will be reactivated. We as a dedicated quality service provided still aim to comply to these regulations even though the System is not active anymore.
We see this as a way to ensure we comply to all regulations and aim to ensure we supply the best quality of service to our clients. If and when the Drop System is reinstated, we will adhere to all requirements and regulations put in place.

As an environmental, quality and safety conscious services provider Silulumanzi places emphasis on customer satisfaction through provision of quality services and avoidance of negative environmental impact. We are an organisation with ISO 9001 – Quality Management, ISO 14001 – Environmental Management and ISO 45001 – Health & Safety Management Systems, one of the first water and sanitation companies to get all three standards.
